Quick and Easy Chocolate Dessert

A delicious, crispy dessert recipe you can whip up in just 10 minutes to enjoy with your tea or coffee.

Ingredients
  • 5 sheets of ready-made baklava dough
  • 3 packages of milk chocolate (240 g)
  • 1 tea glass of coarsely chopped hazelnuts
  • 1 package of white chocolate
  • Ground green pistachios or chopped hazelnuts
Preparation
  1. To make this quick chocolate dessert, first melt 3 packages of milk chocolate using the double boiler method.
  2. Here’s how to use the double boiler method: Pour a little water into a pot. Place the chocolate you want to melt into a smaller bowl. Place the bowl containing the chocolate inside the pot of water. Make sure the water doesn’t rise above the level of the bowl containing the chocolate. When you turn on the heat under the pot, the water begins to warm up, and the heat melts the chocolate. Water must not enter the inner bowl—the one containing the ingredients you want to melt. You must be careful about this. Otherwise, water will mix into the melted ingredients.
  3. Add 1 teacup of coarsely chopped hazelnuts to the melted chocolate and stir. Then, stack 5 sheets of ready-made baklava phyllo dough on top of each other. Using a knife, cut them crosswise into 4 equal pieces. You will have a total of 20 pieces of phyllo dough.
  4. Next, place 1 dessert spoon of the chocolate-hazelnut mixture at the end of each piece of phyllo dough. Roll them up and arrange them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake in a preheated 170-degree oven for about 15 minutes, or until the tops are lightly browned.
  5. Once your quick chocolate treats are done, remove them from the oven and let them cool. Meanwhile, melt 1 package of white chocolate over a double boiler for the topping. Using a brush, spread the melted chocolate over the desserts, then dip them in green pistachio powder or chopped hazelnuts, and arrange them on a serving plate.
  6. You can now serve your quick dessert. It will keep for about 3–4 days. If you prefer, you can use a different type of chocolate instead of white chocolate for the topping. You can also simply sprinkle powdered sugar on top of your dessert.
