Imam Sarigi? The Imam Sarigi Recipe and...
Ingredients
- 3 eggs
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 teacup milk
- 3 tablespoons cocoa
- 1 cup + 2 tablespoons flour
- 1 packet vanilla
- 1 packet baking powder
- 2 tablespoons starch (wheat or corn—either is fine)
- 1 package milk chocolate
- Coconut
Preparation
- First, we make the cake batter: crack 3 eggs into a bowl, then mix in 1 water glass of sugar until the mixture turns white.
- Next, mix in the cocoa and vanilla-flavored milk; after mixing, gradually add the flour and banana.
- After mixing everything together, we pour the batter into a greased and floured baking pan.
- We bake it in an oven preheated to 180 degrees, and while the cake is baking, we prepare the custard.
- We pour the milk, flour, sugar, and vanilla-flavored wheat starch into a saucepan and mix them together first.
- Then cook it on the stove, stirring constantly until it comes to a boil.
- Once it boils, turn off the heat. Let the cake cool completely after it’s done baking.
- Once cooled, cut it into shapes using a cookie cutter.
- If you don’t have a cookie cutter, you can use a glass instead. Spread the custard inside the shapes you’ve cut out.
- Then cover with another layer of cake and spread custard around the edges as well.
- Next, coat the edges with shredded coconut, then use a teaspoon to spread the melted chocolate over the top. Note: Make sure the custard is warm when spreading it inside the cake.
