There’s no recipe that coffee doesn’t go well with! But we’re especially confident about this dessert recipe we’re sharing. It’s a dessert that rivals tiramisu—try it right away!
Ingredients
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 3/4 cup brown sugar
- 5 eggs
- 1 cup butter
- 1 package milk chocolate
- 3 packages dark chocolate
- 1 package vanilla sugar
- 1/2 cup cocoa
- 1 heaping teaspoon ground filter coffee
- 1 cup (plus 1 tablespoon) flour
- 1 level teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon slivered almonds
- 1 teaspoon powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon melted dark chocolate
Preparation
- Place the eggs in a deep bowl and add the sugar. Whisk until combined.
- Add the brown sugar and continue whisking.
- Place a glass bowl over a pot of simmering water and melt the butter and chocolate in it using the double boiler method.
- Add the melted chocolate to the egg mixture and stir.
- Place a sieve over the bowl and sift in the flour, cocoa, and vanilla.
- Add the salt.
- Add the ground filter coffee.
- Pour the well-mixed cake batter into a greased cake pan.
- Bake on the middle rack of a preheated, non-convection oven set to 180 degrees until a crust forms on top and the inside is cooked through. At this point, if you prefer a more gooey brownie, 20 minutes is ideal. The consistency shown in the photo was achieved in 30 minutes.
- The coffee brownie is ready. Enjoy!
