For the dough: 1 pack of puff pastry (approximately 500 g) For the cream: 2 cups of milk 1 cup of granulated sugar 2 tablespoons of flour 1 tablespoon of starch 4 egg yolks 1 pack of vanillin 1 lemon zest (optional)
Preparation
Prepare the puff pastry: Soften the puff pastry at room temperature. Lightly press it together to form a roll lengthwise, then cut into 12 equal pieces. Place each piece in a muffin tin and gently press the center to create small bowls. Prepare the cream: In a small saucepan, combine the milk, sugar, flour, starch, and lemon zest. Cook over medium heat, stirring, until thickened. Remove the mixture from the heat and let it cool for a few minutes. Then add the egg yolks and vanilla, stirring quickly. Filling the cream: Divide the cream among the puff pastry cases (do not overflow). Bake: Bake in a preheated oven at 200°C (400°F) for approximately 18–20 minutes, or until lightly caramelized. Serving: Let the desserts cool at room temperature for 10 minutes after removing from the oven. Sprinkle with powdered sugar or cinnamon and serve warm or cold.
