Ingredients
- 3 glasses of cherry juice
- 4 tablespoons of cornstarch
- 1 teacup of sugar (can be adjusted to taste)
- 4 cups milk
- 4 tablespoons cornstarch
- 3 tablespoons semolina
- 6–7 tablespoons sugar
- 1 packet vanilla (after cooking)
- 1 tablespoon butter (after cooking)
Preparation
- For the jelly layer, mix the ingredients and cook them (the cherry juice was already sweetened, which is why the sugar ratio is like this).
- Once cooked, add 1–2 drops of vegetable oil to give it a glossy finish.
- Pour it into the mold you’ve rinsed with water.
- Let it cool.
- Next, for the custard layer, mix all the ingredients except the vanilla and butter, then cook.
- After it’s cooked, let it simmer on low heat for another 2–3 minutes.
- Then remove from the heat and stir while cooling; once the initial heat has subsided, add the vanilla and butter and stir.
- Pour the lukewarm mixture over the jelly.
- Refrigerate for 5 to 6 hours, then serve.
