Semolina Dessert with a Surprise
Here’s a recipe for a delicious milk-based semolina dessert that’s very easy to make, light, and has the perfect consistency.
Ingredients
- 1 liter of milk
- 1 water glass of semolina
- 1 water glass of granulated sugar
- 1/2 water glass of shredded coconut
- 2 water glasses of chocolate cake
Preparation
- To make the truffle filling for the semolina dessert with a surprise: Place 2 cups of chocolate cake, processed in a food processor, into a deep bowl.
- Gradually add half a teacup of milk and knead until you have a soft dough that can be shaped.
- Thoroughly grease the mold you’ll use for the dessert with butter or margarine. Sprinkle plenty of shredded coconut all over it.
- Take pieces of the truffle mixture you’ve prepared. Roll them into balls with your hands and set them aside.
- Meanwhile, to make the semolina dessert, pour 1 liter of milk into a deep pot. Add 1 water glass of semolina, 1 water glass of granulated sugar, and half a water glass of shredded coconut.
- Place the pot on the stove. Stir constantly until it comes to a boil. Once it boils, reduce the heat and continue stirring and cooking for another 2–3 minutes.
- As soon as the semolina mixture is cooked, remove it from the heat and pour half of it into a mold sprinkled with shredded coconut.
- Place the truffles you prepared earlier on top.
- Finally, pour the remaining semolina mixture evenly over the truffles.
- Let your surprise semolina dessert cool to room temperature. Then place it in the refrigerator and let it rest for about 2 hours.
- Then remove it from the refrigerator and invert it onto a serving plate. Gently shake the mold to release the dessert.
- You can serve the surprise semolina dessert topped with chocolate sauce or decorated however you like.
