- 450 grams of fresh kadayif
- 250 grams of butter
- 1 glass of chopped walnuts
- 1 liter of milk
- 3.5 cups granulated sugar
- 1 packet vanilla
- 2 tablespoons powdered sugar
- 1 tablespoon cocoa
- 100 grams dark chocolate
- 3 tablespoons ground Antep pistachios
Preparation
- For the kadayif syrup: Bring the milk, sugar, and vanilla to a boil on the stove, then let it cool to room temperature.
- Add the melted butter to the fresh kadayif, mix gently, and separate the strands by hand.
- Set aside half of the buttered kadayıf, and spread the other half in a rectangular baking dish. Press down firmly using the bottom of a glass to compact it, then sprinkle with walnuts. Next, arrange the remaining half of the kadayıf evenly on top. Press down again with the bottom of a glass, then bake in a 190-degree oven for 25 minutes, until golden brown.
- Once the dessert has come out of the oven and the initial heat has subsided, pour the cold syrup over it.
- Let the dessert chill in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours.
- Before serving, sprinkle a mixture of powdered sugar and cocoa over the top. Then garnish with grated chocolate and ground Antep pistachios and serve!
