Mini Savory Cookies with Nigella Seeds
One of our crispest savory cookie recipes. If the subject is savory cookies, this is the best one.
Ingredients
- 125 butter
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 1/2 tea glass granulated sugar
- 1 dessert spoon salt
- 1 teaspoon hot red pepper powder
- 1 dessert spoon vinegar
- 1 packet baking powder
- 1 piece egg white
- 1/2 tea glass black cumin
- As much flour as it takes
- Egg yolk
Preparation
- Put all of the 125 g butter into a deep bowl. Add half cup liquid oil with half tea glass powdered sugar with salt and 1 teaspoon hot red pepper powder on top.
- If you love the smell and taste of mahlep, you can also add mahlep to the mini savory cookie recipe with black cumin. During the kneading of the dough, you can also add up to 1 dessert spoon mahlep.
- Then add 1 dessert spoon vinegar, 1 packet baking powder and 1 piece egg white. Finally, add half tea glass nigella seeds, which will provide the real flavor and crispiness of the mini savory cookies with nigella seeds. Add flour little by little until you obtain a soft dough that does not stick to your hands, and knead it well with your hands.
- Before giving the cookies their shapes, let the dough you kneaded rest for 25 dk. After your cookie dough has rested, give it tiny shapes with your hands or cookie cutters.
- Arrange the nigella seed mini savory cookies on a baking tray lined with parchment paper, leaving a slight gap between them. Brush egg yolk on top. Bake in a preheated oven at 170 degrees for approximately 30 minutes.
- Since cooking time may vary from oven to oven, take your cookies out of the oven when their tops turn golden brown. Since it is a cookie dough that can cook quickly, be sure to check it occasionally.
- Because it is a very crisp cookie thanks to the black cumin, you can brown the tops of the cookies a little extra if you wish. You will obtain a crunchy and crisp flavor. Still, be careful not to burn them.
- After the mini savory cookies with black cumin are baked, take them out of the oven and let them cool. Once cooled, you can serve them to your guests with tea. You can store the mini savory cookies with black cumin in airtight containers for up to 2 without them getting stale.
