Cracked Cookies with Liquid Oil
Cracked Cookies with Liquid Oil? This recipe, which appears in dozens of people’s cookbooks, and...
Ingredients
- 2 eggs
- 1/’ cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 (half) cup vegetable oil
- 1/2 (half) cup cocoa powder
- 1 packet baking powder
- 1 packet vanilla
- 1/2 (half) teaspoon salt
- 2 cups flour
- 1 cup powdered sugar
Preparation
- After thoroughly mixing the eggs and granulated sugar, add the remaining ingredients—except for the flour and cocoa—and mix well. Add the flour and cocoa, and continue mixing.
- Place the dough in the refrigerator and let it rest for half an hour.
- If you’d like to make two colors, divide the dough into two portions. Add 2 tablespoons more flour to the plain portion and knead it.
- Add ¼ glass of cocoa to the other portion of dough and knead it, then let both portions of dough rest in the refrigerator for half an hour.
- Pour the powdered sugar into a large bowl. Take walnut-sized pieces of dough, roll them into small balls, and toss them in the powdered sugar until they’re well coated.
- Arrange them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake in an oven preheated to 180 degrees for 15 minutes.
- Once they come out of the oven, it’s best to wait for them to cool before transferring them to a serving plate. This is because they continue to cook slightly as they cool, and the outside becomes a bit firm. If you remove them before they’ve cooled, they may fall apart.
