- To make semolina dessert filled with walnuts, first, put 3 cups granulated sugar, 3 cups water and 4-5 drops lemon juice into a deep pot and mix.
- Then, place the syrup on the stove and stir until the sugar dissolves. After that, let the syrup come to a boil. After boiling, continue to boil the syrup 10 minutes over medium-low heat. Then, remove it from the stove and let it cool. The cup measurement we used in the recipe is 200 ml. tea glass measure is 110 ml.
- On the other hand, put 125 g butter at room temperature and 1 tea glass liquid oil into a deep bowl. You can use margarine instead of butter.
- Then add 1 tea glass yogurt, 1 tablespoon vinegar and 1 piece egg to the bowl, and mix all the ingredients well.
- Then, gradually add 1 cup semolina, half packet baking powder and 3 nearly a cup and a half flour.
- Knead until you obtain a soft dough that does not stick to your hands.
- On the other hand, take walnut-sized pieces from the dough you prepared and roll them out slightly on the counter or in your hand. Place medium-crushed walnuts in the middle part of the dough you rolled out. Carefully close the dough and roll it nicely in your hand.
- Then, coat the walnut-filled dough balls you have rolled in semolina.
- Then, make frequent scratches on the dough with a knife or the side of a spoon.
- Place the shaped walnut-filled doughs into a greased baking tray with slight gaps between them. Place one piece hazelnut in the middle of each and press down lightly.
- Place in a preheated 180 degrees oven. Bake for approximately 40 minutes until the bottom and top are nicely browned.
- Then remove the cooked dessert from the oven and wait 2 minutes for its initial heat to dissipate. Then, pour the cold syrup nicely over the dessert. Let your dessert absorb the syrup and wait approximately 3-4 hours until it cools down completely.
- You can serve the walnut semolina dessert with syrup that you have prepared.
