A sugar-free, light, and very delicious dessert recipe made with just 2 ingredients.
Ingredients
- 20 dates
- 3 glasses of milk
Preparation
- To make date pudding: First, pit 20–22 dates.
- Place the pitted dates in a deep bowl. Pour enough hot water over them to cover them, and let them sit for about 10 minutes to soften. If the dates you bought are already soft, you may skip soaking them in water.
- Meanwhile, pour 3 glasses of milk into a small saucepan and place it on the stove. The glass measurement used in this recipe is 200 ml. Heat the milk until it reaches a boil. Then remove it from the heat and let it sit for about 5 minutes. The milk should be cool enough that it won’t burn your pinky finger.
- Next, drain the dates and add them to the milk.
- Blend until the mixture is smooth.
- Divide the date-milk mixture you’ve prepared among bowls.
- Cover the bowls with a tray and drape a clean cloth over the tray. Let it rest at room temperature for about 2 hours, just like when making yogurt.
- After the resting period, place the date milk mixture in the refrigerator to chill for at least 3–4 hours. Then, garnish it as desired and serve.
