A wonderful cookie recipe that everyone who makes it will love, with its melt-in-your-mouth texture and rich, full-bodied flavor.
Ingredients
- 75 g butter (at room temperature)
- 1 egg yolk
- 1 teaspoon water
- 1/2 water glass minus 1 finger’s width of powdered sugar
- 1 packet vanilla
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/2 teacup chopped walnuts
- 1/2 teacup chocolate chips
- 1 cup flour + 3 tablespoons flour
Preparation
- To make cut-out cookies: Place 75 g of room-temperature butter in a deep bowl. Add the yolk of 1 egg. Next, add half a water glass minus one finger’s width of powdered sugar (50 g), 1 packet of vanilla, 1 teaspoon of baking powder, 1 dessert spoon of water, and half a teaspoon of cinnamon. The water glass I use in this recipe holds 200 ml. A tea glass holds 110 ml.
- Next, add 1 water glass of flour to the bowl, followed by 3 tablespoons of flour, adding it little by little.
- Knead until you have a soft dough that doesn’t stick to your hands. Finally, add half a tea glass of chocolate chips and half a tea glass of chopped walnuts to the dough.
- Just mix them in—don’t over-knead the dough.
- Then place the dough on plastic wrap. Shape it into a neat cylinder and wrap it tightly. Next, let it rest in the freezer for 20–25 minutes.
- Once the time is up, remove the cookie dough from the freezer. Slice it in one go into 1 cm thick pieces.
- Arrange the sliced cookies on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Bake in a preheated 170-degree oven. Bake for about 20 minutes, checking occasionally, until the tops are lightly browned.
- Once the walnut-chocolate cut-out cookies are done, remove them from the oven and let them cool. You can then serve them.
