A delicious dessert recipe that promises sweet happiness in every spoonful with plenty of fruit and that cake-like layer on top.
Ingredients
- 350 g forest fruit
- 2 tablespoons starch
- 4 tablespoons granulated sugar
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 packet vanilla
- 70 g butter
- 1 cup and 2 fingers less milk
- 1 pinch salt
- 1 cup flour
- 1 packet baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1 piece lemon zest
Preparation
- For making forest fruit cobbler; first, melt 70 g butter in a small pan and let it cool on the side. On the other hand, put 350-400 g frozen forest fruits into a small baking dish. You can also use frozen cherries. Depending on your preference, you can also make it with fresh seasonal fruits.
- Put 2 tablespoons starch, 4 tablespoons powdered sugar, 1 tablespoon lemon juice and 1 packet vanilla on top of the fruits.
- Mix all the ingredients well with the help of a spoon. Then set aside and wait for 10-15 minutes like this.
- On the other hand, for its dough; pour the butter you melted at the beginning into a bowl. On top of it, add 1 cups of 2 fingers less milk, half cup powdered sugar, 1 pinch salt and 1 packet vanilla. Mix the ingredients well with the help of a whisk. The cup measurement we use in the recipe is 200 ml.
- Then add 1 cup flour, 1 packet baking powder, half teaspoon ground cinnamon and 1 piece lemon zest to the bowl.
- Mix all ingredients well with the help of a whisk until it reaches a smooth consistency. The consistency of the dough will be like a thick cake batter.
- Finally, spoon the dough you prepared onto the fruits you set aside. You do not need to spread the dough evenly; it will spread on its own during cooking. You can sprinkle sliced hazelnuts or sliced almonds on top of the dough if desired.
- Place in a preheated 175 degrees oven. Bake in a controlled manner for approximately 40-45 minutes until the top is nicely browned.
- After the cobbler dessert is cooked, take it out of the oven and let it cool down a bit on the side. You can serve it with ice cream on the side or on top.
