1 water glass of sugar, minus 1 fingers (Those who do not like it very sweet can also do half glass)
1 cup vegetable oil
1 cup semolina
1 cup yogurt at room temperature
1 and a half cups flour
1 piece vanilla
1 piece baking powder (If you wish, you can grate and add orange or lemon zest)
3 and a half cups sugar
4 cups water
Thinly sliced lemon
Preparation
First, let's make the syrup; put the ingredients required for the syrup into a suitable pot and place it on the stove.
When the syrup starts to boil, set a timer and boil for 15 minutes, then set it aside to cool.
Put the egg, sugar and vanilla in a suitable whisking bowl and start whisking slowly at first; once the ingredients are well mixed, you may whisk quickly.
Whisk until the color of the egg lightens and approaches white and becomes creamy; this part is very important, a lot of whisking is required for it to rise well.
When it becomes cream-like, both slowly whip the cream and add the yogurt, semolina and oil; when those are also whipped, add the flour and baking powder by sifting them into it.
Pour 2 drops vegetable oil into a suitable baking dish, add the mixture, and place it on the bottom rack of a preheated 180 degrees oven until the bottom and top are cooked.
Cook 40 or 46 minutes, once cooked take it out of the oven and let it cool until 15.
Once the cake cools, pour the cold syrup and wait for it to absorb the syrup 3 hours if you don't have time 2 hours and then you can put it in the fridge, it will be better. :)
