Apple Rose Tart? The Apple Rose Tart recipe that’s in dozens of people’s cookbooks, and...
Ingredients
- 3 cups flour
- 1 egg
- Half a small lemon
- 200 g butter (softened)
- 1 cup sugar
- 500 liters water
- 3 apples (red)
- 2 cups milk
- 4 tablespoons sugar
- Powdered sugar
Preparation
- First, we make the dough.
- Knead the ingredients in a bowl, then continue kneading thoroughly on the countertop until the dough reaches the right consistency.
- Next, divide the dough into 12 equal pieces, cover them with plastic wrap, and refrigerate.
- Place the cream ingredients in a saucepan and cook while whisking. Meanwhile, cut the apples in half, core them, and slice them thinly.
- Pour water into the saucepan; once it comes to a boil, add the apples and cook until tender. Remove them to parchment paper and let them cool.
- Roll out the dough that has been resting in the fridge into a round shape, place it on a baking sheet, and trim off the excess.
- To ensure they come out of the mold easily, cut and place parchment paper as shown in the picture; this will make removal a breeze. Fill them evenly with the cooled cream.
- Arrange the apples on top, shaping them into roses.
- Bake in a preheated oven at 170 degrees for 10 minutes, then increase the temperature to 190 degrees and bake for another 10 minutes without browning them too much.
- Once baked, let them cool slightly, then sprinkle powdered sugar on top.
- Once cooled, you can serve them (it makes for a unique flavor and a beautiful presentation).
