Cookies to Go With Coffee
Cookies to Go With Coffee? The "Cookies to Go With Coffee" recipe found in dozens of people’s cookbooks, and...
Ingredients
- 1 package margarine (at room temperature)
- 1 egg
- 1 package baking powder
- 1 glass vegetable oil
- Flour as needed
- 1 tablespoon cinnamon
- 4 tablespoons powdered sugar
- (You can adjust the amounts to taste—I usually eyeball it, and it turns out great either way.)
Preparation
- Mix all the ingredients except the flour.
- Once the mixture reaches a smooth consistency, add the flour little by little.
- The dough may fall apart—that’s okay; this is exactly the right consistency.
- Shape it into a cylinder and cut it into small pieces.
- Place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Bake at 180° until the tops start to turn slightly golden. Once they’ve cooled slightly, roll them in cinnamon and sugar.
- You can also store them in the freezer for up to 1–2 months, or freeze the dough directly (in a freezer bag). If you need them, take them out half an hour in advance and follow these steps :)
