Ingredients
- 1 liter of milk
- 2 tablespoons of cornstarch
- 2 tablespoons of flour
- 6 tablespoons of sugar
- 1 vanilla bean
- 1 package of shredded coconut
- 12 Kemal Paşa sweets
- 2 glasses of water
- 1 glass + 2 tablespoons of sugar
Preparation
- First, we prepare the custard: Place all the ingredients except the vanilla on the stove and cook, stirring constantly, until it thickens.
- Once it thickens, add the vanilla, bring it to a boil for 1–2 minutes, then turn off the heat.
- Grease the tart pan, pour the custard into the pan in equal portions, and refrigerate for 4–5 hours to set.
- Next, for the Kemal Paşa dessert, add 2 glasses of water and the sugar to a saucepan and stir.
- Once the sugar has dissolved, add the Kemal Paşa candies to the pot over medium heat and stir occasionally.
- When they’ve softened enough—after about 5–10 minutes—turn off the heat and transfer the dessert to a plate.
- Remove the set puddings from the refrigerator one by one, coat them in coconut flakes, arrange them on plates, top each with the Kemal Paşa dessert, and they’re ready to serve.
