Kemalpaşa Dessert with Custard
Kemalpaşa Dessert with Custard? This recipe, found in the cookbooks of dozens of people, and...
Ingredients
- 1 package of Kemal Paşa dessert
- 1 liter of milk
- Half a glass of sugar
- 2 heaping tablespoons of cornstarch
- 2 tablespoons of flour
- 1 packet of vanilla
- 1 teaspoon of butter
- Shredded coconut or ground pistachios for garnish
Preparation
- Bake the Kemalpaşa desserts according to the recipe on the package.
- Since sugar will also be added to the custard portion of the dessert, I reduce the amount of sugar listed on the package when baking.
- Once the Kemalpaşa desserts are baked, transfer them to a plate to cool.
- For the custard, cook the milk, flour, cornstarch, and sugar over medium heat, stirring constantly with a whisk.
- When it starts to boil, add the vanilla, boil for 1–2 minutes, then turn off the heat.
- Then add the butter and stir. To make the custard fluffier, I beat it with a mixer for a few minutes after it’s cooked. If you prefer, you can pour it into bowls without beating it.
- Place 2–3 Kemalpaşa sweets at the bottom of each bowl, then pour the custard over them.
- Place one Kemalpaşa dessert on top of each portion of pudding.
- Once the bowls have cooled to room temperature, let them chill in the refrigerator for at least 3 hours.
- When serving, you can sprinkle shredded coconut or ground pistachios on top.
