Ingredients
- 2 kg walnut kernels
- 5 kg grapes
- 1 kg granulated sugar
- 1 package cornstarch
- 1 kg flour
- Water
Preparation
- Thread the walnut halves onto a clean string.
- Next: Separate the grapes into individual berries. Place them in a bowl and wash them thoroughly.
- Next, transfer them to a large, deep pot and add water. Pour enough water to cover the grapes.
- Once cooked, transfer the grapes to a cloth bag and let them drain. Then, pour the grape juice into a deep pot and bring it to a boil.
- Add the granulated sugar and stir well.
- After it has boiled a little longer, pour about 2–3 kg of the liquid from the pot into another bowl and add the cornstarch and flour.
- Be sure not to stop stirring. You should end up with a runny batter.
- Then pour it into the boiling grape juice on the stove and stir it in. It will turn into a thick paste.
- Dip the walnut halves strung on a string into the paste, pull them out, and hang them up to dry.
- If the batter seems too thin when you dip the walnut halves into it, let it sit for 10 minutes and then dip the walnut halves into the batter a second time.
- Hang them in a high place to dry.
