Rolled Baklava? The Rolled Baklava Recipe and...
Ingredients
- 1 egg
- About 1 water glass of yogurt
- 1 tea glass of vegetable oil
- 1 tablespoon of vinegar
- Half a packet of baking powder
- Flour as needed
- 1 teaspoon of salt
- Walnuts (blended)
- Butter
- 3. 5 cups water
- 1.5 cups sugar
- 2–3 drops of lemon juice
Preparation
- Add the yogurt, vegetable oil, egg, vinegar, and baking powder, then mix well.
- Add the salt and as much flour as needed—the dough shouldn’t be too soft or too stiff. Let the dough rest for about 10 minutes.
- Next, divide it into walnut-sized pieces and roll them out with cornstarch until they reach a certain thinness.
- Drizzle vegetable oil over them using a tablespoon, sprinkle with walnuts, and roll them up around a rolling pin.
- Unroll it by folding both ends over, then place the pieces in a greased baking dish.
- Once all the pieces are ready, cut them into strips using a knife. Heat a mixture of butter and vegetable oil on the stove until sizzling, then pour it over the baklava. Bake in an oven preheated to 180 degrees.
- Do not remove it from the oven until the top is golden brown.
- Then pour the prepared syrup over it—the syrup should be cold and the baklava hot.
