Homemade Profiteroles? The Homemade Profiteroles Recipe and...
Ingredients
- 1 glass of water
- 1 glass of flour
- 125 grams of margarine
- 3 eggs
- 2.5 glasses of milk
- 1 tablespoon of cornstarch
- 1.5 tea glasses of granulated sugar
- 1 packet of vanilla
- 1 packet of powdered whipped cream
Preparation
- Add 1 glass of water and the margarine to a pot and bring to a boil until the margarine melts.
- Add 1 glass of flour and stir quickly. Cook for 5 minutes until it forms a smooth dough.
- Turn off the heat and let it cool.
- Once the dough has cooled, crack the eggs in one at a time and mix with a mixer—the better it’s mixed, the better it will rise. Let the dough rest briefly.
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper, fill a piping bag with the dough, and pipe walnut-sized mounds onto the sheet.
- Then bake in a 180-degree oven for 40 minutes—do not open the oven door at all. Check through the glass to make sure the dough rises.
- While the dough is baking, prepare the cream. Place all the ingredients except the vanilla and whipped cream powder in a saucepan and cook.
- Once it comes to a boil, turn off the heat and add the vanilla.
- After the cream has cooled, add the powdered whipped cream. Those who don’t like whipped cream can omit it, but it makes the cream more fluid and flavorful.
- Blend well with a blender. Once the pastries come out of the oven, cut them in half and fill them with the cream using a teaspoon or a piping bag.
- Finally, prepare the chocolate sauce according to the recipe on the back of the package and pour it over the profiteroles.
- You can pour the sauce after it has cooled, but I prefer pouring it while it’s still warm—it tastes even better after resting for a day.
