Delicious Şekerpare That Soaks Up All the Syrup (Made with Vegetable Oil)? This recipe and...
Ingredients
3 eggs at room temperature (reserve the yolk of 1 for the topping)
1 glass of vegetable oil
1 glass of semolina
1 glass of powdered sugar
1 packet of baking powder
1 packet of vanilla
Grated zest of 1 lemon
Flour as needed
2.5 cups sugar
3 cups water
1–2 drops lemon juice
Egg yolk
Preparation
First, let’s prepare the syrup: mix all the ingredients, place the mixture on the stove, and let it sit.
Once it starts to boil, let it simmer on low heat for 5 minutes, then turn off the heat and let it cool.
For the dough, place all ingredients except the flour and baking powder into a mixing bowl and stir.
Add the baking powder and gradually incorporate the flour while kneading.
Work until a soft dough forms. Take pieces of dough slightly larger than a walnut, shape them as desired, and arrange them on a baking sheet.
Continue this process until all the dough is used up.
Brush the tops with egg yolk and score them with a fork.
Bake in a 180-degree oven until golden brown. Once the dessert has cooled slightly, pour the cold syrup over it; let it rest in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours before serving.
