1 package of ready-made baklava phyllo dough (44 pieces from 800-gram packages) 200 grams of butter 1 tea glass of oil 1 cup of ground walnuts or green pistachios For the syrup; 2 cups of sugar 1.5 cups of water 3.5 cups of milk 1 packet of vanilla For the top; 100 grams of milk chocolate 4-5 tablespoons of Nesguik powder (must be sifted and sprinkled after pouring the syrup of the dessert) To decorate; Ground pistachios (optional)
Preparation
First, prepare the syrup. For the syrup, combine the sugar and water in a pot. Boil for 5 minutes. Then, remove from the heat, add the milk and vanilla, and stir. Set aside to cool. Melt the butter. Skim off any foam that forms on the surface and add the oil. Place the phyllo dough in a baking dish and cut into pieces the size of the phyllo dough. Arrange two or three sheets of phyllo dough on the bottom of the dish and grease them. As the phyllo dough rises from the edges, spread them between the layers and grease them. Grease the first layer with half of the phyllo dough, finishing every third layer, then sprinkle walnuts in the middle. Brush with oil every two or three layers, finishing the top layer in the same manner. Spread the phyllo dough evenly on top and cut out the dessert to your desired size. Drizzle the remaining oil evenly over the top. Bake in a preheated oven at 170°C (350°F) for about 40 minutes, or until golden brown. Adjust the temperature according to your oven's cooking style. It should be heavy and firm. Once the dessert is cooked, remove it from the oven and let it sit for about 10 minutes. Once the initial heat has passed, pour the cold syrup over it. Once it has cooled to room temperature, place it in the refrigerator to rest. It will absorb all the syrup in about an hour. Sprinkle the Nesquik powder over the top using a sieve. You can also use a mixture of cocoa and powdered sugar at this stage. Then, grate the chocolate over the top using the smallest part of a grater and garnish the slices with green pistachios. Let it rest in the refrigerator for 4-5 hours.
