We have a delicious cake recipe that will leave a lasting impression on your taste buds—one you’ll want to make again and again! Introducing: the ice cream layer cake recipe.
Ingredients
- 1 ready-made sponge cake
- 2 glasses of milk
- 1 egg
- 1 teacup (2 fingers short) of flour
- 1 teacup (1 finger short) of sugar
- 2 tablespoons of vanilla ice cream
- 2 tablespoons of chocolate ice cream
- 125 grams of ready-made chocolate sauce
- 1 banana
Preparation
- Before starting the cake, cut 1 sheet of parchment paper in half and line a serving plate with it.
- To make the cream: Mix 2 glasses of milk, 1 egg, 1 tea glass of flour (minus 2 fingers’ worth), and 1 tea glass of sugar (minus 1 finger’s worth) thoroughly in a saucepan, then place it on the stove.
- Cook, stirring constantly, until it comes to a boil.
- Once it comes to a boil, cover the pot and cook for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally, then set aside to cool.
- The cream will become thick—don’t worry, it will thin out once whipped with ice cream.
- Chocolate Sauce Instructions: Mix milk, chocolate sauce mix, and sugar thoroughly in a saucepan, then place it on the stove.
- Once it comes to a boil, cook for another 3–4 minutes, then remove from the heat.
- Once the chocolate sauce has cooled slightly and is still warm, spread 4–5 tablespoons of it on the inner surfaces of the bottom and top layers of the sponge cake.
- Add the ice cream to the cooled whipped cream and beat for 3–4 minutes.
- Spread the whipped cream mixture onto the inner sides of the bottom and top layers of the sponge cake.
- Arrange sliced bananas or your choice of fruit on top of the cream on the bottom layer. Stack the bottom and top sponge cake layers together.
- Thoroughly coat the top and sides of the cake with chocolate sauce, decorate as desired, and refrigerate the cake.
