Spinach Roll Cake? The Spinach Roll Cake Recipe and...
Ingredients
3 eggs
1 cup sugar
3 tablespoons water
1 packet baking powder
1 packet vanilla extract
1.5 cups flour
1 cup spinach puree
Half a cup milk or cold water
1 packet whipped cream
Preparation
First, wash the spinach, place it in a pot, and cook it over medium heat until it has absorbed its own liquid.
Blend the cooked spinach until it becomes a puree, then set it aside to cool.
Whip half a glass of milk and 1 packet of whipped cream mix until it reaches a thick consistency. Set aside in the refrigerator.
In a suitable bowl, beat the eggs and sugar until frothy.
Add the remaining ingredients and beat for about 2–3 minutes.
Pour the batter onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake in a 180-degree oven. (Check for doneness with a toothpick.)
Remove the baked cake from the oven, roll it up, and let it cool.
Unroll the cooled cake, spread the whipped cream over it, and roll it up again. Each time you roll it, remove the parchment paper from the top, and let it rest in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours. A note for those who’ll be trying this: Since I don’t like the cake to be dry in this type of dessert, after spreading the whipped cream and rolling it up, I pour milk little by little over the entire surface using a tablespoon.
