Ingredients
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 teacup of granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon of hot water
  • 2 tablespoons of cocoa powder
  • 1 water glass of flour
  • 1 teaspoon of baking powder
  • 1 teacup of milk
  • 1½ teacups of milk
  • 1 packet of whipped cream mix
  • 1 tablespoon of melted Ülker margarine
  • 2 watercups of shredded coconut
  • 2 tablespoons of powdered sugar
  • 1 package of liquid cream
  • 2 packages of dark chocolate
Preparation
  1. To prepare the cake batter, beat the eggs and granulated sugar in a deep bowl with a mixer until frothy (5 minutes).
  2. Add 1 tablespoon of hot water and mix.
  3. Place 2 tablespoons of cocoa in a measuring cup and add flour until the cup is full.
  4. Sift the cocoa, flour, and baking powder into the egg mixture and stir with a spatula.
  5. Pour the resulting chocolate cake batter into a baking pan lined with parchment paper and spread it out evenly.
  6. Bake in a preheated 180° oven for 15–20 minutes.
  7. Test with a toothpick; once done, remove the cake from the oven and let it cool.
  8. Once the cake has cooled completely, pour 1 tea glass of milk over it to moisten it.
  9. To prepare the Cocostar pastry cream, whip 1 packet of whipped cream mix and 1½ tea glasses of milk with a mixer until thickened.
  10. Add 1 tablespoon of melted butter and beat again.
  11. Finally, add 2 water glasses of shredded coconut and 2 tablespoons of powdered sugar, and beat until combined.
  12. Pour the prepared Cocostar cream over the moistened cake and spread it evenly.
  13. Place the assembled Cocostar cake in the refrigerator and let it rest for about 1 hour so the Cocostar cream sets.
  14. To prepare the chocolate ganache to be poured over the cake, pour 200 ml of heavy cream into a bowl and heat while stirring (do not bring to a boil).
  15. Add the dark chocolate, broken into small pieces, to the warm cream and stir until melted.
  16. Pour the prepared chocolate ganache immediately over the cake and spread it evenly.
  17. The Cocostar cake is returned to the refrigerator to allow the ganache on top to set, and it is left to rest for another 2–3 hours.
  18. Once removed from the refrigerator, the cake is carefully taken out of the springform pan, decorated as desired, sliced, and served.
